Material

We are proud to say that this product is made from 99 percent recycled materials; a mix of 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester, remnants of fabrics left over from previous productions. This type of textile recycling means that we collect, sort and make use of other company’s waste fabric that would otherwise have been incinerated. It is a huge saving on the earth's limited resources.

Reusing materials to this extent is sustainable in its true sense. By shopping circularly and choosing products made with recycled material, you are guaranteed to make a good choice for the environment. For Example, you are helping to save 225,000 liters of water every day, compared with productions using new raw materials. That is as much water as 1,607 Swedes use in the same period. At the same time, you contribute to social responsibility and good working conditions for our colleagues in India.

Recycled by Wille creates new, environmentally friendly textile products without re-dyeing or adding any chemicals in the production process. In this way, we strive to have as little negative environmental impact as possible. The production is certified according to:

· GRS – A certification for recycled materials. The abbreviation stands for Global Recycling Standard, and is used as a tool for us as a company to be able to control the quality, standard and amount of recycled material in our products. It is also a certification that guarantees you, as a consumer, correct and honest communication. The standard is mostly similar to GOTS, you could say that GRS is the recycled material equivalent of GOTS for natural fibers. This means that both the production and the product are tested for chemicals and heavy metals according to the same requirements as GOTS.

· STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® – the world's leading label for textiles, accessories and products tested for the content of substances harmful to health. The certification means that the product meets high human ecological requirements, and does not contain chemicals in levels that are harmful to health. The certification must also guarantee that the finished product does not cause allergy problems.

· SEDEX – certification means that we are members of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange. It is a global and non-profit membership organization that drives improvements for responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains, including when it comes to work environment, recruitment, employee rights and compliance with environmental legislation. Sedex is also an online database used by more than 65,000 members in over 150 countries, enabling companies to store and display data on ethical and responsible business practices. Membership ensures that companies in the supply chain behave fairly, understand the impact of new regulations on business operations in a timely manner and reduce risks in a rapidly changing, interconnected business environment.
